The HWG Ludwigshafen aims to actively promote its students in the competent use of artificial intelligence (AI). The desired development of AI skills is to be systematically anchored in studies and education through the development of AI literacy. With the "AI Literacy Center", the Departments of Studies and Education, in cooperation with the IT Service Center, supports lecturers in designing, planning and implementing quality-assured courses for AI literacy training.

AI Bootcamps
Fundamentals, applications and ethical issues
The AI bootcamp provides you with a compact, interactive introduction to the most important topics in artificial intelligence - practical, understandable and up to date. The course is aimed at students from all disciplines and provides you with the foundation you need to use AI competently and thoughtfully - in your studies, in your future career and even in your private life.
Overview of topics:
- Introduction to machine learning and generative AI
- Practical exercises for working with data
- First steps in developing your own machine learning models
- Recognizing and reflecting on bias in AI systems
- Ethical issues in dealing with AI
- Legal basics: EU AI Act, data protection & copyright law
Benefit from a structured introduction that not only provides you with technical know-how, but also the critical judgment to use AI responsibly and effectively - no matter in which area.

Department 1: First semester students of the Bachelor's degree programs BNM, BMC & BIM
Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days at the Ernst-Boehe-Str. 4-6 campus.
